*Arcadia Valley Chamber sponsored business and residential lighting contest. The lighting contest will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 6 and will continue until Wednesday, Dec. 14. Independent judging will take place between the hours of 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. Prize money will be awarded in each category. Residents and businesses located within five miles of the courthouse will be eligible to participate. If you are located "off the beaten path" please call 546-3777 and leave a message with your address, directions and a phone number to be sure the judges can find you.

Christmas in the Valley 2011! Come One, Come All!  Join us as we celebrate the season in Arcadia Valley Beginning Thanksgiving Weekend Friday, Thanksgiving Weekend, November 25th Lighting of the Courthouse at 5pm Valley Merchant's Open House - Enjoy special sales and treats! Do your Christmas shopping early! 5pm - 8pm - Main Street & the Pocket Park ~Enjoy caroling, refreshments and lots of fun! ~ Nash Carriages providing Carriage Rides for a nominal fee ~ Music & Christmas Caroling The AV Chamber will provide the music, smores & hot chocolate Chili will be available for purchase! December 3rd Weekend the celebration continues! Christmas Parade & Craft Bazaar & Santa of course! 12pm - 8pm Craft Bazaar, Arcadia Valley High Gymnasium Lobby (if you are interested in vending see below) 6pm Christmas in the Valley Parade (Line up will begin at 5:30pm on Shepherd Street behind Town & Country Supermarket.  The parade will proceed south on Main Street, turn west on Park Drive and end at the AV School Gymnasium for float viewing) Activities at the gym foyer will include craft booths, pictures with Santa, piped Christmas music, refreshments and the float winners will be announced! 7pm Christmas show featuring the Redhead Express at Arcadia Valley Jamboree on Main St. in Ironton *Floats will be in a contest for 200.00, 150.00 and 75.00. Anyone interesed in having a Christmas float should sign up by calling Jan Blaine at 546-3921, the Arcadia Valley Chamber office at 573-546-7117 or by submitting a form found in the Moutain Echo newspaper. Entry Requirements: Christmas Lights and decorations of some sort. NO Santa or Mrs. Claus on the float!
