Come One, Come All!  Join us as we celebrate the season in Arcadia Valley Beginning Thanksgiving Weekend November 28th, Main Street Open House December 6th Annual Christmas Parade, with the Lighting of the Courthouse, Vendor and Craft Booths at the Historic Arcadia Academy Gymnasium, the "Bob Hope Style Christmas Show," and of course, Santa Claus! This year's theme:  "My Favorite Christmas Carol" Friday, Thanksgiving Weekend, November 28th, We'll kick off the celebration with the Main Street Open House! ~ Main Street in Ironton will host an Open House in participating retail stores.  Enjoy special sales and treats! ~ Bert’s Corner Antiques and Gifts has arranged Carriage Rides for $1.00 ~Afterwards, join “A Gathering” on the City Parking Lot in downtown Ironton and enjoy caroling, refreshments and lots of fun! December 6th Weekend the celebration continues! Saturday ~ Santa, Frosty and Rudolph Arrive!  Craft & Gift Show, Parade, & "Bob Hope Style Christmas Show" Everything starts at 7:30am Saturday, December 6th! ~ Enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast sponsored by the Arcadia Valley Kiwanis Club from 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. at Bobby Powell's Jamboree Theatre.  Free pictures will be taken with "special" Christmas characters. ~ Christmas Craft and Gift Fair and cookie decorating for the children at the Arcadia Academy Gymnasium will be available immediately following the parade through the end of the Christmas Show. ~ At 4:30 p.m. the Christmas parade will line up behind Town and Country Grocery on Shepherd St. ~ 5 pm Annual Christmas Parade Begins! ~ Parade will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will travel down Main Street from North Ironton to the Historic Arcadia Academy Gymnasium ~ Immediately following the parade, a Special Celebration with a “Bob Hope Style White Christmas” music show will be held at the Arcadia Academy Gymnasium. Refreshments including hot chocolate, coffee and cookies will be served. ~ “Santa” visits with photo opportunities by Lynn’s Photography will be held after the parade in the Arcadia Academy Gymnasium. __________________________________ *Floats will be in a contest for 200.00, 100.00 and 50.00.   Download the Float Application form here.
